- The Florida Panthers signed forward Nikita Gusev to a one year contract for the 2020-21 season.
- Gusev had his contract terminated with New Jersey on Saturday.
- The contract is worth $1 million.
- The Washington Capitals and New Jersey Devils would make a trade.
- The Devils acquired defenseman Jonas Siegenthaler.
- The Capitals acquired Arizona’s 2021 3rd Round Pick.
- The Montreal Canadiens and Detroit Red Wings would make a trade.
- The Canadiens would acquire defenseman Jon Merrill.
- The Red Wings would acquire forward Hayden Verbeek and a 2021 5th Round Pick.
- The NHL Department of Player Safety has suspended Nashville Predators forward Michael McCarron.
- McCarron would be suspended for two games for an illegal check to the head of forward Yanni Gourde of the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night.
- Per the terms of the CBA, McCarron would forfeit $12,068.96 in salary.
- The Toronto Maple Leafs, Columbus Blue Jackets, and San Jose Sharks made a trade.
- This trade played out the same way as Saturday’s three way trade between Columbus, Dallas, and Tampa Bay for David Savard.
- The Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators would make a trade.
- The Bruins acquired defenseman Mike Reilly.
- The Senators acquired a 2022 3rd Round Pick.
- The Toronto Maple Leafs and Calgary Flames would make a trade.
- The Leafs would acquire goaltender David Rittich.
- The Flames would receive a 2022 3rd Round Pick.

- Buffalo Sabres v. Philadelphia Flyers – 2p ET
- In Philadelphia the Flyers would host the Buffalo Sabres, and in the first period Oskar Lindblom and Joel Farabee would score to give the Flyers the 2-0 lead. Then in the second period Sam Reinhart and Arttu Ruotsalainen would score to tie the game at two for the Sabres. In the third period Shayne Gostisbehere would score fort eh Flyers, but tallies from Jeff Skinner, Rasmus Asplund, and Casey Mittelstadt would give the Sabres the 5-3 victory.
- Arizona Coyotes v. Vegas Golden Knights – 4p ET
- In Vegas the Golden Knights and Arizona Coyotes would do battle, and after a scoreless 50 minutes Tomas Nosek would break the tie with his 7th of the season to give the Knights the 1-0 victory.
- Colorado Avalanche v. Anaheim Ducks – 6p ET
- In Anaheim the Colorado Avalanche would come to town to take on the Ducks, and in the first period Andre Burakovsky would net his 12th of the season to give the Avs the 1-0 lead. In the second period Gabriel Landeskog would strike on the powerplay to give the Avs the two goal lead. In the third period Jamie Drysdale would strike for the Ducks, but Ryan Graves and Nathan MacKinnon would score to give the Avalanche the 4-1 victory.
- Pittsburgh Penguins v. New Jersey Devils – 7p ET
- In New Jersey the Devils would play host to the Pittsburgh Penguins, and in the first period Colton Sceviour would strike twice to give the Pens the 2-0 lead, but Miles Wood would strike to get the Devils on the board. In the second period Bryan Rust would score to give the Pens the two goal lead once again. Then in the third period PK Subban would score for the Devils, but Jake Guentzel’s 18th and 19th of the season would give the Penguins the 5-2 victory.
- New York Rangers v. New York Islanders – 7p ET
- On Long Island for the Battle of New York, the Islanders would host the Rangers. In the first period Kyle Palmieri would net his fist goal as an Islander and Jean-Gabriel Pageau would score to take the 2-0 lead. Then in the second period Libor Hajek and Brendan Smith would score to tie the game at two for the Rangers. After a scoreless third period Ryan Pulock would score while shorthanded to give teh Islanders the 3-2 overtime victory.
- Washington Capitals v. Boston Bruins – 7p ET
- In Boston the Bruins would host the Washington Capitals, and in the first period TJ Oshie and Lars Eller would strike in less than 20 seconds of each other to give the Caps the 2-0 lead. Then Conor Sheary would strike to grow the Caps lead to three, and again on the powerplay in the second period to give the Caps the four goal lead. Nic Dowd and Tom Wilson would both strike in the second period as well to grow the Caps lead to six. Then in the third period Craig Smith would score for the Bruins, but both Oshie and Eller would net their second goals of the game to give the Capitals the 8-1 victory.

- Dallas Stars v. Nashville Predators – 8p ET
- In Nashville the Predators would host the Dallas Stars, and in the first period both teams would trade tallies as Roope Hintz would score for the Stars, and Ryan Ellis would strike for the Preds. In the second period both teams would trade goals once again as Yakov Trenin would strike for the Preds, then Jamie Oleksiak would tie the game for the Stars. After a scoreless third period and extra frame it would be Ryan Johansen with the winner in the shootout as the Predators defeat the Stars 3-2.
