  • The NHL announced that forward Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche has been named First Star of the Week.
    • Jordan Eberle (SEA) and Alex Lyon (FLA) would round out the rest of the Three Stars.
  • NHL Stars of the Week – MacKinnon Powers Avs for Top Honors

  • The NHL Department of Player Safety has fined Anaheim Ducks forward Ryan Strome.
    • Strome was fined $5,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct against Colorado on Sunday night.
    • The fine is the maximum allowed per the CBA.

  • San Jose Sharks v. Winnipeg Jets – 7p ET
    • In Winnipeg, the Jets host the Sharks and in the first San Jose takes the 1-0 lead when Erik Karlsson scores his 24th but then Winnipeg responds when Pierre-Luc Dubois nets his 27th. Winnipeg then takes the lead when Adam Lowry scores his 12th of the year and then Kyle Connor’s 32nd of the year gives the Jets the 3-1 lead. In the third, Mason Appleton’s fourth of the year puts the Jets up three but then Erik Karlsson goes on to score his second of the night. Then, Josh Morrissey scores his 16th and then Mark Scheifele’s 41st of the year gives the Jets the 6-2 win over the Sharks.

  • Buffalo Sabres v. New York Rangers – 7p ET
    • In New York City, the Rangers host the Bruins and in the first Buffalo takes the 1-0 lead when JJ Peterka scores his 12th of the year. In the second, Artemi Panarin scores a pair of goals to give the Blueshirts the 2-1 lead. In the third, Casey Mittelstadt nets his 13th to tie the game for Buffalo. Casey Mittelstadt then scores the game winner in the shootout as the Sabres get the 3-2 win over the Rangers.

  • Carolina Hurricanes v. Ottawa Senators – 7p ET
    • In Ottawa, the Senators host the Hurricanes and in the first Claude Giroux’s 33rd gives Ottawa the 1-0 lead and then Tim Stützle’s 38th of the year puts the Sens up 2-0. In the second, Brett Pesce’s fifth put the Canes on the board. In the third, Carolina ties it up when Brent Burns nets his 15th of the year but then Claude Giroux scores his second of the night as the Senators defeat the Hurricanes 3-2.

  • New York Islanders v. Washington Capitals – 7p ET
    • In the Nation’s Capital, the Islanders and Capitals face off for the final time on the year and in the first Washington gets two quick goals when Dylan Strome scores his 22nd and Rasmus Sandin scores his sixth. Craig Smith then scores his eighth as the Caps take the 3-0 lead. In the third, New York gets on the board when Hudson Fasching nets his ninth but Tom Wilson answers with an empty netter, his 11th goal of the season. Then, Casey Cizikas scores his sixth to bring the Isles within two but Dylan Strome scores his second of the night as the Capitals defeat the Islanders 5-2.

  • Toronto Maple Leafs v. Florida Panthers – 7p ET
    • In South Florida, the Panthers welcome the Maple Leafs to the Sunshine State and after a scoreless first, Auston Matthews scores his 40th of the year to put Toronto up 1-0. In the third, Florida ties it up with Brandon Montour’s 16th of the year. In overtime, John Tavares scores his 36th of the year as the Maple Leafs get the 2-1 win over the Panthers.

  • Dallas Stars v. Detroit Red Wings – 7p ET
    • In the Motor City, the Red Wings welcome the Stars back to Detroit and in the first Dallas takes the 1-0 lead when Roope Hintz scores his 36th and then Esa Lindell’s eighth of the year puts the Stars up 2-0. Then, Ty Dellandrea’s ninth of the year puts Dallas up 3-0. In the second, Jason Robertson scores his 46th to put the Stars up 4-0 and then Joe Pavelski’s 27th gives the Stars the five goal lead. Jamie Benn then nets his 33rd to make it a 6-0 Dallas lead but then Detroit gets on the board when David Perron scores his 24th of the year. With a scoreless third period, the Stars go on to get the 6-1 win over the Red Wings.

  • Minnesota Wild v. Chicago Blackhawks – 9p ET
    • In the Windy City, the Blackhawks welcome the Wild back to Chicago and in the first Minnesota takes the 1-0 lead with Matt Boldy’s 31st of the year but then Chicago ties it up with Joey Anderson’s sixth of the year. In the second, Anders Bjork nets his first as the Blackhawks take the 2-1 lead. In the third, Marcus Johansson netes a pair and then Gustav Nyquist scores his 11th as the Wild gets the 4-2 win over the Blackhawks.

  • Nashville Predators v. Calgary Flames – 930p ET
    • In the Saddledome, the Flames take on the Predators and in the first Egor Afanasyev scores his first to put Nashville up 1-0. In the second, Troy Stecher nets his third to even the score for Calgary. In the third, Zach Sanford’s second puts the Preds back up but then Mikael Backlund’s 19th ties the game once more for the Flames. In the shootout, Tommy Novak scores the game winner for Nashville as the Predators get the 3-2 win over the Flames.

  • Seattle Kraken v. Arizona Coyotes – 10p ET
    • In the Desert, the Coyotes host the Kraken and in the first Arizona takes the 1-0 lead when Jack McBain scores his 12th. In the second, Seattle gets threee when Oliver Bjorkstrand nets his 20th, Justin Schultz strikes with his seventh, and Matty Beniers scores his 24th to put Seattle up 3-1. In the third, Jared McCann scores his 40th as the Kraken defeat the Coyotes 4-1.

    • In Tinseltown, the Kings welcome the Canucks back to Los Angels and after a scoreless first, Arthur Kaliyev nets his 13th to put L.A. up 1-0. In the third, Vladislav Gavrikov scores his sixth and then Drew Doughty nets his ninth as the Kings shutout the Canucks 3-0.
