  • The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that they have fined Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin.
    • Larkin would be fined $5,000 for cross checking Washington Capitals forward TJ Oshie on Tuesday night.
    • The fine is the maximum allowed under the CBA.

  • The NHL announced that they are launching NHL Street.
    • NHL Street will be a North America-wide youth street hockey league in partnership with RCX Sports.

  • The Toronto Maple Leafs announced that defenseman Jake Muzzin will not return for the rest of the 2022-23 season or for the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs due to a cervical spine injury.

  • The Vegas Golden Knights and Arizona Coyotes would make a trade.
    • The Golden Knights would acquire defenseman Dyson Mayo.
    • The Coyotes would acquire defenseman Shea Weber and a 2023 5th Round Pick.

  • The Chicago Blackhawks and Ottawa Senators would make a trade.
    • The Blackhawks would acquire defenseman Nikita Zaitsev.
      • They would also acquire a 2023 2nd Round Pick and a 2026 4th Round Pick.
    • The Senators would acquire Future Considerations.

Game Recaps

  • Winnipeg Jets v. New York Islanders – 7p ET
    • On Long Island the Winnipeg Jets would come to town to take on the New York Islanders, and in the first period Sebastian Aho would score to give the Isles the 1-0 lead. In the second period Nikolaj Ehlers would score to tie the game at one for the Jets. Then in the third period Simon Holmstrom would score to give the Islanders the 2-1 victory over the Jets.

  • Calgary Flames v. Arizona Coyotes – 930p ET
    • In Arizona the Coyotes would play host to the Calgary Flames, and in the first period Milan Lucic would score for the Flames to take the 1-0 lead. In the second period Nick Schmaltz, Clayton Keller, and Matias Maccelli would score to give the Yotes the 3-1 lead, but goals from Elias Lindholm and Tyler Toffoli would tie the game at three for the Flames. Then in the third period Jakob Pelletier, Walker Duehr, and Mikael Backlund would score to give the Flames the 6-3 victory over the Coyotes.

  • Chicago Blackhawks v. Dallas Stars – 930p ET
    • In Dallas the Stars would host the Chicago Blackhawks, and in the first period Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn would score to give the Stars the 2-0 lead. In the second period Jason Robertson would score to grow the Stars lead to three, but Max Domi would score and Patrick Kane would net a pair to tie the game at three for the Blackhawks. Then in the third period Domi would net his second of the game to give the Blackhawks the 4-3 comeback victory over the Stars.
