    • In Detroit the Red Wings would play host the Vancouver Canucks for the first of 7 early afternoon matinee matchups, and in the first period Dylan Larkin and Jonatan Berggren would score to give the Wings the 2-0 lead. In the second period Anthony Beauvillier would score for the Canucks, but a tally from Larkin for his second of the game to retake the two goal lead for the Wings. Then in the third period Elias Pettersson would score for the Canucks, but Berggren’s second of a the game and a tally from Filip Hronek would give the Red Wings the 5-2 victory over the Canucks.

Then in the second period Jakob Pelletier, Mikael Backlund, Dennis Gilbert, and Nazem Kadri would score to give the Flames the 4-2 lead. Then after a scoreless third period Matt Duchene would score to give the Predators the 2-1 overtime victory over the Flyers.

    • In Dallas the Tampa Bay Lightning would come to town to battle the Stars, and after a scoreless first period Anthony Cirelli would open the scoring for the Bolts, but Jamie Benn would score to tie the game at one for the Stars. Then in the third period Cirelli would net his second of the game and Brandon Hagel would score as time expired to give the Lightning the 3-1 victory over the Stars.

  • Washington Capitals v. Boston Bruins – 330p ET
    • In Boston the Washington Capitals would play for the first time since 2022 as they take on the Bruins, and in the first period Nicklas Backstrom would strike on the powerplay to give the Caps the 1-0 lead. In the second period Garnet Hathaway would score to grow the Caps lead to two, but Nick Foligno would score to get the B’s on the board and back within one. Then in the third period the Capitals would get solid goaltending from Darcy Kuemper to defeat the Bruins 2-1.

    • In Florida the Colorado Avalanche would come to town to take on the Panthers, and in the first period Logan O’Connor and Matt Nieto would score to give the Avs the 2-0 lead. In the second period Aaron Ekblad and Sam Bennett would score to tie the game at two for the Panthers, but tallies from Devon Toews and Nathan MacKinnon would put the Avs ahead by two again. Then in the third period Aleksander Barkov would score for the Panthers, but MacKinnon would score his second of the game to give the Avalanche the 5-3 victory over the Panthers.

    • In Toronto for Hockey Night in Canada the Maple Leafs would play host to the Columbus Blue Jackets, and in the first period William Nylander and Michael bunting would score to give the Leafs the 2-0 lead. In the second period Boone Jenner, Kirill Marchenko, and Sean Kuraly would score to give the Jackets the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period Morgan Rielly would score to tie the game at three for the Leafs, but Kent Johnson would score to give the Blue Jackets the 4-3 victory over the Maple Leafs.

    • In St. Louis the Arizona Coyotes would come to town to take on the Blues, and in the first period Clayton Keller and Nick Schmaltz would score to give the Yotes the 2-0 lead.     • In Minnesota the Wild would go to battle with the New Jersey Devils, and in the first period Joel Eriksson Ek would score to give the Wild the 1-0 lead. In the second period Tomas Tatar would net a pair of goals to give the Devils the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period Ryan Hartman would score to tie the game at two for the Wild to force overtime. After a scoreless extra five minutes of extra hockey it would be Frederick Gaudreau would seal it in the shootout for the Wild to defeat the Devils 3-2.

    • In Winnipeg the Jets would take on the Chicago Blackhawks, and after a scoreless first period Josh Morrissey, Blake Wheeler, and Mark Scheifele would score to give the Jets the 3-0 lead. In the second period Adrian Kempe would record three consecutive goals for the natural hat trick and grow the Kings lead to five. Then in the third period Kempe would net his fourth of the game to give the Kings the dominating 6-0 victory over the Penguins.
