Today the National Hockey League announced their Three Stars of the Week for the week of January 16th through 22nd.
First Star – Zach Hyman (LW – EDM)
- Zach Hyman would produce four goals and five assists for nine points in three games played for the Edmonton Oilers. To kick off the week Hyman would record a goal and two assists in a 5-2 victory over Seattle on Jan. 17th. Then on Jan. 19th he would score two goals in a 5-3 victory over Tampa Bay, and to close out the week Hyman would record a goal and three assists in a 4-2 victory over Vancouver on Jan. 21st.

Second Star – Steven Stamkos (C – TB)
- Steven Stamkos would record five goals and an assist for six points in four games played for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Stamkos would open up the week with an assist in a 4-1 victory over Seattle on Jan. 16th, and on Jan. 18th he would record a hat trick, including his 500th career NHL goal, in a 5-2 victory over Vancouver. Then on Jan. 19th he would record a goal in a 5-3 loss to Edmonton, and then close out the week with a goal in a 6-3 loss to Calgary on Jan. 21st.

Third Star – Trevor Zegras (C – ANA)
- Trevor Zegras would record four goals and four assists for eight points in four games played for the Anaheim Ducks. Zegras would open up the week with a goal and an assist in a 4-3 overtime loss to Pittsburgh on Jan. 16th, and on Jan. 17th he would only record an assist in a 5-2 loss to Philadelphia. Then on Jan. 19th he would record a goal and an assist in a 5-3 victory over Columbus, and to close out the week Zegras would record two goals and an assist in a 6-3 loss to Buffalo on Jan. 21st.
