Today the National Hockey League announced their Three Stars of the Week for the week of November 14th through 20th.
First Star – Sidney Crosby (C – PIT)
- Sidney Crosby would lead the League with four goals and seven assists for 11 point sin four games for the Pittsburgh Penguins, and he would start off the week with a goal in a 5-2 loss to Toronto on Nov. 15th. Then on Nov. 17th Crosby would record two goals and two assists in a 6-4 victory over Minnesota, and on Nov. 19th against Winnipeg he would record two assists in a 3-0 victory. To close out the week, Crosby would record a goal and three assists for his second four point game of the week in a 5-3 victory over Chicago on Nov. 20th.
Second Star – Pavel Buchnevich (LW – STL)
- Pavel Buchnevich would record three goals and four assists for seven points in four games for the St. Louis Blues. To open the week Buchnevich would record two assists in a 3-2 victory over Colorado on Nov. 14th, but would then be held off the scoresheet by Chicago in a 5-2 victory over Nov. 16th. Then on Nov. 19th against Washington Buchnevich would record a goal in a 5-4 shootout victory, and to close out the week he would record two goals and two assists in a 6-2 victory over Anaheim on Nov. 19th.
Third Star – Martin Jones (G – SEA)
- Martin Jones would go a perfect 2-0-0 with a 1.90 goals against average, and a .932 save percentage for the Seattle Kraken. On Nov. 17th Jones would make 28 saves in a 3-2 overtime victory over the New York Rangers, and then on Nov. 19th he would make 27 saves in another 3-2 overtime victory, but this time over Los Angeles.
