- The Washington Capitals loaned forward Connor McMichael to Hershey of the AHL.
- The Seattle Kraken assigned forward Shane Wright to Coachella Valley of the AHL on a conditioning assignment.
- The Chicago Blackhawks retired Marian Hossa”s #81.
- Hossa would be the only player in franchise history to wear the number.
- Hossa was also a member of all three Stanley Cup teams in the 2010’s.

- Florida Panthers v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 6p ET
- In Columbus the Blue Jackets would host the Florida Panthers, and in the first period both teams would trade goals as Matthew Tkachuk would score for the Panthers while Yegor Chinakhov would strike for the Jackets. In the second period Kent Johnson would score for the Jackets to take the 2-1 lead, but Aaron Ekblad would score for the Panthers to tie the game at two. Then in the third period Colin White would score for the Panthers, but goals from Sean Kuraly, Johnny Gaudreau, and Boone Jenner would give the Blue Jackets the 5-3 victory over the Panthers.

- Pittsburgh Penguins v. Chicago Blackhawks – 7p ET
- In Chicago the Blackhawks would celebrate retiring Marian Hossa’s #81 to the rafters as they host the Pittsburgh Penguins, and in the first period Brock McGinn would score to give the Pens the 1-0 lead. In the second period the Pens would get goals from Evgeni Malkin and Rickard Rakell would give the Pens the 3-0 lead, but goals from Jujhar Khaira and Patrick Kane would get the Blackhawks back within one. Then in the third period Philipp Kurashev would score to tie the game at three, but Sidney Crosby and Jeff Carter would score to give the Penguins the 5-3 victory over the Blackhawks.
