In the first period, Corey Perry nets his first goal of the 2022 postseason to give Tampa Bay the 1-0 lead, but then Sam Reinhart scores his third of this postseason to tie the game for Florida. In the second, Tampa Bay gets a pair of goals when Erik Cernak and Steven Stamkos score their first and third goals of the postseason, respectively. As this contest moves to the third, Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos score their fourth goals of the postseason as the Lightning strike down the Panthers with the 5-1 win and take the 3-0 series lead.

- Carolina Hurricanes v. New York Rangers – 330p ET – Game 3
- In New York City, the Rangers look to notch their first win in the series while Carolina looks to take the 3-0 series lead. In the first period, New York takes the 1-0 lead when Mika Zibanejad scores his fourth of the postseason. In the second, Chris Kreider strikes with his sixth of the postseason to give the Rangers the 2-0 lead but the Canes strike when Nino Niederreiter scores his fourth of the season. In the third, Tyler Motte scores an empty net goal as the Rangers down the Hurricanes 3-1 and come within a game of tying this series.

- In Oil Country, the Oilers look to take the series lead on home ice while the Flames look to re-take “home ice” advantage. After a scoreless first, Edmonton strikes in the second period when Zach Hyman nets his sixth of the playoffs, and then Evander Kane gets a hat trick, his eighth, ninth, and tenth goals of the postseason, to take the 4-0 lead. In the third, Calgary scores late when Oliver Kylington scores his first goal of the 2022 postseason but the Oilers go on to get the 4-1 win over the Flames and take the 2-1 series lead.
