  • The NHL Department of Player Safety fined Minnesota Wild forward Marcus Foligno.
    • Foligno was fined $5,000 for kneeing Columbus Blue Jackets forward Jakub Voracek on Friday night.
    • The fine, which was issued on Saturday, is the maximum allowed under the CBA.

  • Carolina Hurricanes v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 1p ET
    • In Pittsburgh the Penguins would host the Carolina Hurricanes, and in the first period Brian Boyle would score to give the Pens the 1-0 lead. In the second period Danton Heinen would strike to grow the Pens lead to two. Then in the third period Brett Pesce and Sebastian Aho would score for the Canes, but Sidney Crosby and Zach Aston-Reese would score to give the Pens the 4-2 victory over the Hurricanes.

  • Toronto Maple Leafs v. Buffalo Sabres – 4p ET – 2022 Heritage Classic
    • At Tim Horton’s Field in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada the Toronto Maple Leafs and Buffalo Sabres would do battle, and after a scoreless first period Ondrej Kase and Auston Matthews would strike for the Leafs and Peyton Krebs and Vinnie Hinostroza would score for the Sabres for the 2-2 tie. Then in the third period Hinostroza and Krebs would both net their second goals of the game and Tage Thompson would score to give the Sabres the 5-2 victory over the Maple Leafs.

  • Winnipeg Jets v. St. Louis Blues – 7p ET
    • In St. Louis the Blues would host the Winnipeg Jets, and in the first period David Perron would score to give the Blues the 1-0 lead. In the second period Nikolaj Ehlers would strike for the Jets to tie the game at one, but Vladimir Tarasenko would strike to retake the one goal lead for the Blues. Then in the third period Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor would score to give the Jets the 3-2, but Brayden Schenn would score to tie the game at three to send the game to overtime. In the extra frame Pierre-Luc Dubois would score to give the Jets the 4-3 victory over the Blues.

  • Nashville Predators v. Minnesota Wild – 7p ET
    • In Minesota the Wild would honor Mikko Koivu by retiring his number before facing the Nashville Predators, and in the first period Filip Forsberg would score for the Preds and Matt Boldy would strike for the Wild for a 1-1 tie. In the second period Jordan Greenway would score for the Wild, but goals from Roman Josi and Philip Tomasino would give the Preds the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period Josi and Forsberg would both net their second goals of the game and Nick Cousins would score to give the Predators the 6-2 victory over the Wild.

  • Montreal Canadiens v. Philadelphia Flyers – 7p ET
    • In Philadelphia the Flyers would take on the Montreal Canadiens, and in the first period Kevin Hayes would strike to give the Flyers the 1-0 lead. In the second period Claude Giroux would score for the Flyers, but a pair of goals from Nick Suzuki would tie the game at two for the Habs. Then in the the third period CamAtkinson would strike to give the Flyers the 3-2 lead, but Rem Pitlick would strike to tie the game at three to force overtime. In the extra frame Cole Caufield would strike to give the Canadiens the 4-3 victory over the Flyers.

  • Vegas Golden Knights v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 7p ET
    • In Columbus the Blue Jackets would host the Vegas Golden Knights, and in the first period Johnathan Marchessault and William Carrier would strike for the Knights, but goals from Patrik Laine, Cole Sillinger, and Oliver Bjorkstrand would give the Jackets the 3-2 lead. In the second period Evgenii Dadonov would score for the Knights, but Sillinger would score a pair of goals to complete the hat trick and give the Jackets the 5-3 lead. Then in the third period Jack Eichel would strike for the Knights, but Eric Robinson would score to give the Blue Jackets the 6-4 victory over the Golden Knights.

  • Anaheim Ducks v. New York Islanders – 730p ET
    • On Long Island the New York Islanders would take on the Anaheim Ducks, and in the first period Josh Mason would score for the Ducks, but goals from Zach Parise, Kyle Palmieri, and Anders Lee would give the Isles the 3-1 lead. In the second period Isac Lundestrom would score for the Ducks, but Palmieri would net his second of the game to keep the Isles ahead by two. Then in the third period Adam Henrique would score for the Ducks, but the Islanders would hold on for the 4-3 victory over the Ducks.
  • Calgary Flames v. Colorado Avalanche – 8p ET
    • In Colorado the Avalanche would host the Calgary Flames, and in the first period Nathan MacKinnon would strike to give the Avs the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second period MacKinnon would net his second of the game and Mikko Rantanen would score to give the Avalanche the 3-0 victory over the Flames.

  • Tampa Bay Lightning v. Vancouver Canucks – 10p ET
    • In Vancouver the Canucks would host the Tampa Bay Lightning, and in the first period Victor Hedman and Ross Colton would score to give the Bolts the 2-0 lead. In the third, J.T. Miller would score his 24th to bring Vancouver within a goal but the Lightning hold on for the 2-1 win.

  • Florida Panthers v. Los Angeles Kings – 10p ET
    • Out in Hollywood the Los Angeles Kings would host the Florida Panthers, and in the first period Rasmus Kupari would score to give the Kings the 1-0 lead. In the second, Florida would tie the game when Eetu Luostarinen would score his ninth of the year and then the Panthers would take the lead when Brandon Montour would net his seventh of the year. Late in the third, Martin Frk would score his second of the year to tie the game at 2-2. Trevor Moore scores the game winner in the shootout as the Kings down the Panthers 3-2.
