Today the National Hockey League announced their Three Stars of the Week for the week of November 22nd through 28th.
First Star – Alex Ovechkin (LW – WAS)
- In three games played, Alex Ovechkin would record four goals and three assists for seven points for the Washington Capitals. On Nov. 24th Ovechkin would open the week with a three assist performance in a 6-3 victory over Montreal. Then on Black Friday against Florida Ovechkin would record his 28th career hat trick in a 4-3 victory. Ovechkin would also record his 117th career game winning goal in the victory over the Panthers as well. To close out the week on Nov. 28th Ovechkin would score a goal in the Caps 4-2 victory over Carolina.

Second Star – Tristan Jarry (G – PIT)
- Tristan Jarry would be a perfect 3-0-0 for the Pittsburgh Penguins as he stopped 91 out of 93 shots faced for the week. Jarry would post a .978 save percentage and a 0.67 goals against average along with one shutout. Jarry would open the week with a 30 save performance in a 3-1 victory over Winnipeg on Nov. 22nd, and then on Nov. 24th he would post a 36 save performance in a 4-1 victory over Vancouver. To close out the week, Jarry would stop all 25 shots faced as the Pens would defeat the New York Islanders 1-0 on Nov. 26th.

Third Star – Cale Makar (D – COL)
- Cale Makar would also record four goals and three assists for seven points, but did so in four games played for the Colorado Avalanche. Makar would open the week with a two goal game in a 7-5 victory over Ottawa on Nov. 22nd, and then on Nov. 24th against Anaheim he would score one goal in a 5-2 victory. On Nov. 26th he would also record a goal in a 3-1 loss to Dallas, and Makar would close out the week with a three assist performance in a 6-2 victory over Nashville on Nov. 27th.
