    • The Blackhawks also relieved assistant coaches Sheldon Brookbank and Tomas Mitell.
    • Derek King will take over as interim head coach.

  • Tampa Bay Lightning v. Ottawa Senators – 2p ET
    • In Ottawa for an early afternoon matinee the Senators would host the Tampa Bay Lightning, and in the first period Victor Hedman would score to give the Bolts the 1-0 lead. In the second period Connor Brown would score to tie the game for the Sens, but Jan Rutta would score to retake the one goal lead for the Bolts. However, before the period would end Brady Tkachuk would score to tie the game at two. Then in the third period Steven Stamkos, Ondrej Palat, and Anthony Cirelli would score to give the Lightning the 5-3 victory over the Senators. Logan Shaw would score in the final seconds for the Sens.

  • Carolina Hurricanes v. Florida Panthers – 6p ET
    • In Florida the Panthers would host the undefeated Carolina Hurricanes, and in the first period Anthony Duclair would open the scoring on the powerplay, and then Frank Vatrano would strike on the powerplay to give the Panthers the 2-0 lead. Before the period would end Anton Lundell and Patric Hornqvist (PPG) would score to grow the Panthers lead to four. In the second period the Canes would wake up as Jesper Fast and Vincent Trocheck would score to bring them back within two. then in the third period Duclair would net his second of the game to give the Panthers the 5-2 victory over the Hurricanes.

  • New York Islanders v. Winnipeg Jets – 7p ET
    • In Winnipeg the Jets would host the New York Islanders, and in the first period Anders Lee would score to give the Isles the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second period Brock Nelson would secure the 2-0 victory for the Islanders over the Jets.

  • Detroit Red Wings v. Buffalo Sabres – 7p ET
    • In Buffalo the Sabres would play host to the Detroit Red Wings, and in the first period Pius Suter would score for the Wings to take the 1-0 lead. In the second period Tage Thompson and Rasmus Dahlin would score for the Sabres to take the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period Arttu Ruotsalainen would score to grow the Sabres lead to two, but a pair of goals from Tyler Bertuzzi would tie the game at three and send the game to overtime. In the extra frame it would be Moritz Seider with his first career NHL goal to give the Red Wings the 4-3 victory over the Sabres.

  • Boston Bruins v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET
    • In Toronto the Maple Leafs would take on their longtime Original Six rival Boston Bruins, and in the first period Taylor Hall would strike on the powerplay for the Bs on the powerplay to take the lead, but John Tavares would strike to tie the game at one for the Leafs. In the second period Auston Matthews would score a pair of powerplay goals to give the Leafs the two goal lead. Then in the third period David Pastrnak would score for the Bruins, but Tavares second of the game and a tally from Mitch Marner would give the Maple Leafs the 5-2 victory.

  • Vegas Golden Knights v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET
    • In Montreal the Vegas Golden Knights come to town to take on the Canadiens, and in the first period the Habs would get goals from Nick Suzuki and Tyler Toffoli to take the 2-0 lead. In the second period Alex Pitrangelo, Jonathan Marchessault, and Dylan Coghlan would score for the Knights to take the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period Chandler Stephenson and Brayden McNabb would score to secure the 5-2 victory for the Golden Knights over the Canadiens.
  • Minnesota Wild v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 7p ET
    • In Pittsburgh the Minnesota Wild would come to town to take on the Penguins, and in the first period Kiril Kaprizov would score for the Wild to take the 1-0 lead, but a pair of goals from Kasperi Kapanen would give the Pens the 2-1 lead. In the second period Jake Guentzel would score to grow the Pens lead to two, but Joel Eriksson Ek would score to bring the Wild back within one. Then in the third period Kapanen would complete the hat trick, but goals from Jared Spurgen and Ryan Hartman would tie the game at four for the Wild to send the game to overtime. After a scoreless overtime period it would be Nick Bjugstad with the shootout winner to give the Wild the 5-4 victory over the Penguins.

  • Philadelphia Flyers v. Washington Capitals – 7p ET
    • In Washington the Capitals would breakout the alternate jerseys as they host the Philadelphia Flyers, and after a scoreless first period Derick Brassard and Sean Couturier would score to give the Flyers the 2-0 lead. Then in the third period Brett Leason would score for the Caps, but it would not be enought as the Flyers would hold on to win 2-1.

  • Colorado Avalanche v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 7p ET
    • In Columbus the Blue Jackets would host the Colorado Avalanche, and in the first period Gabriel Carlsson would open the scoring for the Jackets, but Andre Burakovsky would score to tie the game at one. In the second period Burakovsky would net his second of the game for the Avs to take the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period Alexandre Texier, Cole Sillinger, and Oliver Bjorkstrand would score to give the Blue Jackets the 4-2 victory over the Avalanche.

  • Seattle Kraken v. Arizona Coyotes – 10p ET
    • In Arizona the Seattle Kraken would visit the Coyotes, and in the first period Antoine Roussel would score for the Coyotes, but goals from Jordan Eberle, Yanni Gourde, and Nathan Bastian would give the Kraken the 3-1 lead. In the second period Travis Boyd would score for the Coyotes to bring them back within one. Then in the third period Lawson Crouse would score for the Coyotes to tie the game at three, and then Phil Kessel would score on the powerplay to give the Coyotes the 4-3 lead. However, Mark Giordano would score to tie the game at four, but Crouse would net his second of the game to give the Coyotes their first win of the season as they defeat the Kraken 5-4.

  • New York Rangers v. Calgary Flames – 10p ET
    • In Calgary the Flames would play host to the New York Rangers, and in the first period Sean Monahan would score on the powerplay to give the Flames the 1-0 lead. In the second period Brad Richardson and Johnny Gaudreau would score to grow the Flames lead to three. Then in the third period Gaudreau would score his second of the game and Milan Lucic and Matthew Tkachuk would score to give the Flames the 6-0 victory over the Rangers.

  • New Jersey Devils v. San Jose Sharks – 1030p ET
    • In San Jose the Sharks would host the New Jersey Devils, and after a scoreless first period Rudolfs Balcers would open the scoring for the Sharks, but Ryan Graves would net his first as a Devil to tie the game at one. Then in the third period Jonathan Dahlen would score on the powerplay to give the Sharks the 2-1 lead, but Janne Kuokkanen would score to tie the game at two and send the game to overtime. After a scoreless overtime Damon Severson would score the shootout winner for the Devils.
