St. Louis Blues Summary, Week of 2/28/2021

The Blues played four games this week, going 3-1, but ending on a pretty embarrassing note.

The first game was a 5-4 victory over Anaheim this past Monday. The team played very well offensively, led by Zach Sanford of all people He notched 2 goals and 1 assist, with David Perron, Jordan Kyrou, and Dakota Joshua adding 1 each. Despite being up 4-1 going in to the third, they barely pulled out the victory. This theme will be revisited.

The next game was a 3-2 victory against Anaheim on Wednesday. Sanford again scored a goal, with Sundqvist and Schenn scoring the others.

The most exciting game of the week was a 3-2 overtime victory against the LA Kings, with the Blues tying the game late on a David Perron goal, and Mike Hoffman winning it on an absolute rocket of a shot.

The worst game of the week came last night with a 4-3 overtime loss to the Kings. Despite the return of Vladimir Tarasenko, and building up a 3-0 lead, the Blues squandered it and lost. All-in-all though, not a bad week. Keep going 3-1 every week and they will be in good shape, especially with all the injuries they have been having.

Next game is today against San Jose.
