Game Recaps

  • Tampa Bay Lightning v. Boston Bruins – 12p ET Start Time
    • Back in action after two days off to reflect and see how the hockey world can work together to combat racial injustice, the Bruins look to tie their series at two against the Lightning. In the first period Ondrej Palat would strike first for the Lightning to take the 1-0 lead. Then in the second period Palat would strike again, and Victor Hedman would take advantage of the powerplay to give Tampa the commanding 3-0 lead. In the third period Jake DeBrusk would score for the Bruins while on the powerplay, but it wouldn’t be enough as the Lightning would hold on to win 3-1 and take the 3-1 series lead.

 

 

 

  • Philadelphia Flyers v. New York Islanders – 7p ET Start Time
    • Back in the east the Flyers and Islanders look to take the advantage in their second round series, and in the first period Tyler Pitlick would score for the Flyers to take the 1-0 lead. However, in the final forty minutes it would be all Islanders as Matt Martin and Leo Komarov would score to give the Islanders the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period Anders Lee would strike on the powerplay to give the Islanders the 3-1 victory and the 2-1 series lead.

 

 

 

  • Vegas Golden Knights v. Vancouver Canucks – 945p ET Start Time
    • Out west the Canucks and Golden Knights both look to take the 2-1 series lead of their second round series, and in the first period before the game was five minutes old Alex Tuch would snipe the puck to take the 1-0 lead for Vegas. Then 82 seconds later Zach Whitecloud would score to give the Knights the two goal lead. After a scoreless second period the Knights would seal the deal as Mark Stone would score while on the powerplay to give the Golden Knights the 3-0 shutout victory and the 2-1 series lead.
