Lightning Take A Commanding Lead

Game 4 of the series between the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning took place in the early game of the day.

A quick recap of the previous games:

Game 1 – Boston wins 3-2

Game 2 – Tampa wins 4-3 OT

Game 3 – Tampa wins 7-1

In the first period, the Lightning got off to the lead. The goal coming from Ondrej Palat, it’s his third goal of the playoffs. Assist on the play came from Brayden Point. The Lightning took a 1-0 lead heading into the intermission.

In the second period, the Lightning would double their lead. The goal coming from Ondrej Palat again. It’s his second goal of the game and his fourth of the playoffs. Assists on the play came from Anthony Cirelli and Nikita Kucherov. 6 minutes later, the Lightning would get their insurance marker, the goal being provided by Victor Hedman. It’s his fourth goal of the playoffs, assists on the play came from Tyler Johnson and Nikita Kucherov, his second point of the game. The Lightning took a commanding 3-0 lead heading into the third period.

In the third period, the Bruins would finally get on the board. The goal coming from Jake DeBrusk, it’s his fourth goal of the playoffs. Assists on the play came from Charlie Couple and Matt Grzelcyk.

The Lightning would hold on to the 3-1 victory, and take a 3-1 series lead. The next game these two teams play will be on 8/31. The Lighting will have a chance to close out the series.
