Today the National Women’s Hockey League has announcements goaltender Amanda Leveille of the Minnesota Whitecaps has been named the January Player of the Month.
Leveille would play in all eight games for the Whitecaps and go on to have a 6-2-0 record for the month which would see her have a .953 save percentage and one shutout victory for the month. Leveille would also backstop the Whitecaps with a 36 save performance to hand the Boston Pride their first loss of the 2019-20 season.
Leveille is also the first goaltender to earn the NWHL Player of the Month honors.
