NHL Three Stars of the Week for Jan. 27th – Feb. 2nd

Today the National Hockey League announced their Three Stars of the Week for the week of January 27th through February 2nd.

 

First Star – Leon Draisaitl (C, Edmonton Oilers)

  • Draisaitl would tie for the League lead in points with eight (2g, 6a) in three games played for the Oilers. Draisaitl would also record multi-point games in all three games played starting with a two assist performance on Jan. 29th against Calgary. The on Jan. 31st he would net two goals against St. Louis, and close the week with four assists against Calgary on Feb. 1st in the great “Battle of Alberta”.

Second Star – Steven Stamkos (C, Tampa Bay Lightning)

  • Stamkos would lead the NHL with five goals and tied for the lead with eight points in four games played for the Lightning. On Jan. 27th Stamkos would score both goals against Dallas, and then on Jan. 29th he would record two goals and an assist against Los Angeles. On Jan. 31st he would record an assist against Anaheim, and close the week on Feb. 1st with a goal and an assist against San Jose.

Third Star – JT Miller (C, Vancouver Canucks)

  • Miller would record three goals and four assists for seven points in four games played for the Canucks. He would start the week with two goals against St. Louis on Jan. 27th, and on Jan. 29th Miller would record two assists against San Jose. On Feb. 1st Miller would record a goal and an assist against the Islanders, and then close out the week on Feb. 2nd with an assist against Carolina.
