News

  • In the PWHL, we would see more signings take place.
    • The Minnesota Frost announced that they have re-signed forward Taylor Heise.
      • Heise would sign a 3 year deal and would be protected from the Expansion Player Distribution Process.

    • The Frost also re-signed forward Kelly Pannek.
      • Pannek would also sign a 3 year deal and be protected from the Expansion Player Distribution Process.

    • The Frost also announced that they have protected goaltender Maddie Rooney.

    • The Toronto Sceptres announced that they have re-signed defender Renata Fast.
      • Fast also signed a 3 year deal and is also protected from the Expansion Player Distribution Process.

    • The Sceptres also re-signed goaltender Raygan Kirk.
      • Kirk would also sign a 3 year deal and be protected from the Expansion Player Distribution Process.

    • The Sceptres also announced that they have protected defender Ella Shelton.

    • The Ottawa Charge announced they have protected three players.
      • The Charge protected forward Rebecca Leslie, goaltender Gwyneth Philips, and defender Ronja Savolainen.

    • The Boston Fleet announced their three protected players.
      • The Fleet protected goaltender Aerin Frankel and defenders Megan Keller and Haley Winn.

    • The Seattle Torrent announced the additional two players they are protecting.
      • The Torrent are also protecting goaltender Hannah Murphy and defender Anna Wilgren.

    • The New York Sirens announced the three players they are protecting.
      • The Sirens are protecting forwards Sarah Fillier, Kristýna Kaltounková, and Casey O’Brien.
      • The Sirens have also given O’Brien a qualifying offer which protects her rights.

    • The Vancouver Goldeneyes announced their other two protected players.
      • The Goldeneyes will also be protecting defender Sophie Jaques and goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer.

    • The Walter Cup champion Montréal Victoire also announced the three players that they will be protecting.
      • The Victoire are protecting goaltender Ann-Renée Desbiens and forward Marie-Philip Poulin and Laura Stacey.

  • In the NHL, the league announced that Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper has been announced the winner of the 2026 Jack Adams Award.
