- In Ottawa for a pivotal Game 4, the Charge look to close out the Boston Fleet and advance to the Walter Cup Final, and in the first period, Sarah Wozniewicz would score on the powerplay to give the Charge the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Rebecca Leslie would score to give the Charge the two goal lead, but goals from Shay Maloney, Megan Keller (PPG), and Sophie Shirley would give the Fleet the 3-2 lead. However, Brooke Hobson would score to tie the game at three for the Charge. Then, it would be a scoreless third period as this game would require overtime to determine a winner, and in the second overtime period, Michela Cava would score 1:12 into the second extra frame to give the Charge the 4-3 overtime victory overtime victory over the Fleet to take the series 3-1 and now await the winner of the Montreal/Minnesota series.
Buffalo Sabres v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET – Game 3
- In Montreal, the Buffalo Sabres look to bounce back against the Canadiens in Game 3 of their Second Round series, and in the first period, Tage Thompson would score 53 seconds into the game to give the Sabres the 1-0 lead, but Alex Newhook would score to tie the game at one for the Canadiens. In the second period, Cole Caufield would score on the powerplay off of some Lane Hutson wizardry and Zachary Bolduc and Juraj Slafkovsky (PPG) would score to give the Canadiens the 4-1 lead, but Rasmus Sandin would strike on the powerplay to get the Sabres back within two. Then in the third period, Kirby Dach would score and Newhook would be awarded an empty net goal for his second of the game to give the Canadiens the 6-2 victory over the Sabres to take the 2-1 series lead.
