Today the National Hockey League has announced the Rookie of the Month for the month of January 2023.
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (G – BUF)
- Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen would earn Rookie of the Month honors for the month of January after going 6-2-1 with a 3.05 goals against average and a .907 save percentage in nine games played for the Buffalo Sabres.
- Luukkonen would edge out fellow netminder Dan Vladar (CAL), and forwards Matty Beniers (SEA), Cole Perfetti (WIN), and Kirill Marchenko (CLB) for the honor.
