- Central Scouting released their Mid-Season Rankings for the 2023 NHL Draft.
- The NHL Department of Player Safety would levy a pair of fines.
- DOPS would fine Arizona Coyotes forward Clayton Keller $5,000 for cross checking Ottawa Senators defenseman Erik Brannstrom on Thursday night.

- DOPS also fined Tampa Bay Lightning forward Mikhail Sergachev $5,000 for roughing Vancouver Canucks forward Conor Garland on Thursday night.

- Both fines were the maximum allowed per the CBA.

- Winnipeg Jets v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 7p ET
- In Pittsburgh the Penguins would host the Winnipeg Jets, and in the first period Blake Wheeler would open the scoring for the Jets, but Drew O’Connor would score to tie the game at one for the Pens. In the second period Mark Scheifele and Nikolaj Ehlers would score to give the Jets the 3-1 lead. Then in the third period Scheifele would net his second of the game to give the Jets the 4-1 victory over the Penguins.

- New Jersey Devils v. Anaheim Ducks – 10p ET
- In Anaheim the Ducks would play host to the New Jersey Devils, and in the first period Dougie Hamilton, Jesper Bratt, and Jack Hughes would score to give the Devils the 3-0 lead. In the second period Adam Henrique would score for the Ducks, but Bratt’s second of the game would keep the Devils ahead by three. Then in the third period Trevor Zegras would score for the Ducks, but goals from Jesper Boqvist and Hughes would give the Devils the 6-2 victory over the Ducks.

- Edmonton Oilers v. San Jose Sharks – 1030p ET
- Meanwhile, in northern California the San Jose Sharks would take on the Edmonton Oilers, and in the first period Connor McDavid and Klim Kostin would score to give the Oilers the 2-0 lead. In the second period McDavid would net his second of the game while Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Leon Draisaitl would both score to give the Oilers the dominating five goal lead. Then in the third period Oskar Lindblom would score for the Sharks, but goals from Jesse Puljjarvi and Ryan McLeod would give the Oilers the 7-1 blowout victory over the Sharks.
