  • The Boston Bruins announced that they have strengthened their player-vetting process after completing their independent review.
    • The Bruins acknowledged there was a gap in the club’s vetting procedures when Mitchell Miller was signed, but that there was no misconduct from any employees.

  • Philadelphia Flyers v. Toronto Maple Leafs* – 2p ET
    • In Toronto for a rare early afternoon matinee on a weekday the Maple Leafs would play host to the Philadelphia Flyers, and in the first period Tony DeAngelo would score to give the Flyers the 1-0 lead. In the second period Calle Jarnkrok would deflect the puck past Carter Hart to tie the game at one, and then Mitch Marner would score for the Leafs to take the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee would score for the Flyers, but goals from Michael Bunting and William Nylander would give the Maple Leafs the 4-3 victory over the Flyers.

  • Carolina Hurricanes v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 7p ET
    • In Pittsburgh it would be the battle of the diagonal font jerseys as the Penguins would play host to the Carolina Hurricanes, and in the first period Sidney Crosby would score for the Pens, but goals from Martin Necas and Jalen Chatfield would give the Canes the 2-1 lead. In the second period Brock McGinn would score to tie the game at two for the Pens. Then in the third period Bryan Rust would score for the Pens while Jordan Staal would score for the Canes for the game to go to overtime tied at three. In the extra frame Jaccob Slavin would score to give the Hurricanes the 4-3 victory over the Penguins.

  • New York Islanders v. New York Rangers – 7p ET
    • At Madison Square Garden it would be the third and final Battle of New York as the Rangers would play host to the Islanders, and in the first period both teams would trade goals as Anders Lee would open the scoring for the Isles while Artemi Panarin would strike for the Rangers for the 1-1 tie. In the second period Julien Gauthier would score for the Rangers, but goals from Mathew Baral and Alexander Romanov would give the Isles the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period Barclay Goodrow, Kaapo Kakko, and Vincent Trocheck would score to give the Rangers the 5-3 comeback victory over the Islanders.

  • Washington Capitals v. Ottawa Senators – 7p ET
    • In Ottawa for the Battle of the two Nation Capitols the Senators would host the Washington Capitals, and in the first period Alex DeBrincat would score for the Sens to take the 1-0 lead, but Evgeny Kuznetsov would score to tie the game at one for the Caps. In the second period Sonny Milano would score to give the Caps the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period Drake Batherson would strike on the powerplay to tie the game at two for the Sens. In the extra frame Marcus Johansson would score to give the Capitals the 3-2 overtime victory over the Senators.

  • Winnipeg Jets v. Boston Bruins – 7p ET
    • In Boston the Bruins would play host to the Winnipeg Jets, and in the first period Mark Scheifele and Jansen Harkins would score to give the Jets the 2-0 lead. In the second period David Pastrnak and Jake DeBrusk would score to tie the game at two for the B’s. Then in the third period Nick Foligno would score to give the Bruins the 3-2 comeback victory over the Jets.

  • Seattle Kraken v. Vancouver Canucks – 10p ET
    • In Vancouver the Canucks would play host to the Seattle Kraken, and in the first period Jared McCann would open the scoring for the Kraken, but Lane Pederson would score to tie the game at one for the Canucks. In the second period Elias Pettersson would strike for the Canucks, but goals from Oliver Bjorkstrand, Daniel Sprong, and Alex Wennberg would give the Kraken the 4-2 lead. Then in the third period Sprong would net his second of the game for the Kraken, but goals from Andrei Kuzmenko, Brock Boeser, and Pettersson would tie the game at five for the Canucks to force overtime. After a scoreless extra five minutes of hockey it would be Pettersson with the game winner as the Canucks would defeat the Kraken 6-5.

  • Calgary Flames v. Los Angeles Kings – 1030p ET
    • In Los Angeles the Kings would play host to the Calgary Flames, and in the first period Jonathan Huberdeau would open the scoring for the Flames, but Gabe Vilardi would score to tie the game at one for the Kings. Then after a scoreless second period Phillip Danault and Blake Lizotte would score ten seconds apart for the Kings, but goals from Tyler Tofolli and Dillon Dube would tie the game at three for the Flames. In overtime Adrian Kempe would score to give the Kings the 4-3 victory over the Flames.

  • Minnesota Wild v. San Jose Sharks – 1030p ET
    • In San Jose the Minnesota Wild would come to town to take on the Sharks, and in the first period Joel Eriksson Ek would score for the Wild, but goals from Erik Karlsson and Noah Gregor would give the Sharks the 2-1 lead. In the second Mats Zuccarello would score for the Wild, but Timo Meier and Oskar Lindblom would score to give the Sharks the 4-2 lead. Then in the third period Kevin Labanc would score to give the Sharks the 5-2 victory over the Wild.
