  • The Ottawa Senators announced that they have signed defenseman Artem Zub to a contract extension.
    • Zub’s new deal is a four year deal with an AAV of $4.6 million per season.

  • The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that they have fined Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev.
    • Sergachev was fined $5,000 for slashing Toronto Maple Leafs forward Michael Bunting on Tuesday night.
    • The fine is the maximum allowed under the CBA.

  • The Dallas Stars have announced that forward Denis Gurianov will be away from the team on an indefinite leave of absence.
    • Gurianov is away from the team due to family reasons.

  • New Jersey Devils v. Florida Panthers – 7p ET
    • In Florida, the Panthers host the Devils. In the first, Florida takes the 1-0 lead when Eric Staal scores his third of the year but then New Jersey ties it up when Jesper Bratt scores on the power play with his 11th on the season. In the second, Florida re-takes the lead when Eetu Luostarinen also scores on the power play with his eighth of the season. In the third, New Jersey ties it up when Jesper Bratt scores his second of the night and then the Devils take the lead when Yegor Sharangovich scores his ninth of the season. Tomas Tatar then scores an empty net goal, his eighth goal of the year, as the Devils get the 4-2 win over the Panthers.

  • Tampa Bay Lightning v. Detroit Red Wings – 7p ET
    • In Detroit, the Red Wings host the Lightning in a key divisional match-up. In the first, Tampa Bay takes the 1-0 lead when Brayden Point scores his 17th of the year but then Olli Maatta’s third of the year ties the contest up for the Wings. Alex Killorn’s ninth of the year puts Tampa Bay back on top but not for long as Michael Rasmussen’s fifth of the year ties the contest for Detroit once again. In the second, Dylan Larkin scores his 11th of the year to put Detroit up but then Ross Colton’s eighth of the year ties it up for the Bolts. In the third, Detroit takes the 4-3 lead when Elmer Soderblom nets his fourth of the year and then Dylan Larkin nets his second of the game to give the Red Wings the 5-3 lead. Nikita Kucherov then scores his 13th of the year to bring Tampa Bay within a goal but the Red Wings re-take the two goal lead when David Perron scores an empty net goal, his 11th of the year. Michael Rasmussen’s second of the night gives the Red Wings the 7-4 win over the Lightning.

  • Montreal Canadiens v. Colorado Avalanche – 8p ET
    • In Denver, the Avalanche host the Canadiens. In the first, Anthony Richard scores his first career NHL goal to give Montreal the 1-0 lead. In the third, Artturi Lehkonen scores his ninth of the year to tie the game up for Colorado. In overtime, Mikko Rantanen scores his 22nd of the year as the Avalanche down the Canadiens 2-1.

  • Nashville Predators v. Chicago Blackhawks – 830p ET
    • In the Windy City, the Blackhawks host the Predators in a Central divisional match-up. In the first, Nashville takes the 1-0 lead when Nino Niederreiter scores his 11th of the year. In the second, Chicago ties it up when Connor Murphy scores his third of the year and then the Blackhawks take the 2-1 lead when MacKenzie Entwistle scores his second of the year. Then, Matt Duchene’s ninth of the year ties the contest for Nashville. In the third, the Preds get a pair of goals when Roman Josi scores his seventh of the year and then Thomas Novak scores his first of the year as the Predators get the 4-2 win over the Blackhawks.

    • In the Lone Star state, the Stars and Oilers face off. In the first, Roope Hintz 14th of the year gives Dallas the 1-0 lead but then Mattias Janmark scores his second of the year to tie the game for Edmonton. In the second, Dallas takes the 2-1 lead when Wyatt Johnston scores his ninth of the year but then the Oilers get a pair of goals when Zach Hyman scores his 15th of the year and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scores his 18th of the year. Tyler Seguin scores a power play goal, his seventh goal of the year, as Dallas evens the score 3-3. In the third, Warren Foegele, Connor McDavid, and Mattias Janmark all score as the Oilers get the 6-3 win over the Stars.

  • Arizona Coyotes v. Vegas Golden Knights – 10p ET
    • In Sin City, the Golden Knights host the Coyotes in a divisional match-up. After a scoreless first, Vegas takes the 1-0 lead when Daniil Miromanov scores his second of the year on a Vegas power play and then the Coyotes even the score when Juuso Valimaki scores his second of the year. In the third, Mark Stone scores his 13th of the year followed by William Carrier scoring his 10th of the year to give the Golden Knights the 3-1 lead. Christian Fischer then scores his sixth of the year to bring Arizona within a goal but then Mark Stone’s second of the night gives Vegas the two goal lead once more. Michael Amadio’s second of the year gives the Golden Knights the 5-2 win over the Coyotes.

  • Minnesota Wild v. Anaheim Ducks – 10p ET
    • In Anaheim, the Ducks look to make things look a little Wild. After a scoreless first, Anaheim gets on the board when Mason McTavish nets his fifth of the year but then Minnesota evens the score when Connor Dewar scores his fifth of the year. In the third, Matt Boldy scores his 12th of the year to give the Wild the 2-1 lead. Joel Eriksson Ek’s 11th goal of the year puts the Minnesota up by two and then Ryan Hartman’s second of the year gives the Wild the 4-1 win over the Ducks.
