- The Edmonton Oilers announced that they have officially hire Jay Woodcroft as their new head coach.
- Woodcroft replaced Dave Tippett in February 2022 making him the 17th head coach in Oilers franchise history.
- Woodcroft signed a three year deal that will take him through the 2024-25 season.
- The Dallas Stars announced that they have hired Pete DeBoer as their new head coach.
- DeBoer becomes the 25th head coach in franchise history, and 10th in the team’s history while in Dallas.
- Deboer spent the last three seasons as the head coach of the Vegas Golden Knights, and has also coached in New Jersey, San Jose, and Florida.
