New York Rangers v. Tampa Bay Lightning
Game 4 – NYR leads 2-1
Game Recap:
Heading into Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final the Tampa Bay Lightning would look to even the series at home against the New York Rangers, and in the first period the Bolts would strike early as Pat Maroon would score to give the Lightning the 1-0 lead. Shortly after Ryan Reaves would go to the box, but the Rangers would kill off the penalty to stay down by only one.
In the second period it would be a rather quiet period until the 11:23 mark when Frank Vatrano and Brandon Hagel would drop the gloves for a scrap, and shortly after the fight Nikita Kucherov would score to give the Lightning the 2-0 lead.
Then in the third period the Bolts would go on an early powerplay, and despite not scoring on the powerplay the Lightning would still score as Steven Stamkos strike to grow the Bolts lead to three. Things would get feisty between the two teams, but late in the period Artemi Panerin would score for the Rangers on the powerplay to get on the board. However, Ondrej Palat would get the empty netter to give the Lightning the 4-1 victory over the Rangers, and even the series at two games a piece.
