• The New York Islanders announced that they have hired a new head coach.
  • The Islanders named Lane Lambert as their new head coach.
  • Lambert served as associate coach for the past four seasons with the Isles under previous head coach Barry Trotz.
  • Lambert also served as an assistant coach under Trotz for four seasons with the Washington Capitals where they won a Stanley Cup in 2018.

• The Vegas Golden Knights announced that they have relieved Pete DeBoer as head coach.
  • DeBoer spent three seasons with the Knights after replacing Gerard Gallant.
