Today the National Hockey League announced their Three Stars of the Week for the week of April 18th through 24th.
First Star – Steven Stamkos (C – TB)
- Stamkos would record four goals and nine assists for 13 points in four games played for the Tampa Bay Lightning, which would feature him picking up at least three points in all four games he would play. To open up the week Stamkos would record three assists in a 4-3 loss to Detroit on April 19th, and then on the 21st he would record a goal and two assists in an 8-1 victory over Toronto. On April 23rd Stamkos would record another goal and two assist in a 6-2 victory over Nashville, and then to close out the week on the 24th Stamkos would record tow goals and two assists in an 8-4 victory over Florida.

Second Star – Kevin Fiala (LW – MIN)
- Fiala would trail Stamkos by two points as he would record four goals and seven assists for 11 points in four games played for the Minnesota Wild. To start his week, Fiala would record a goal and an assist in a 2-0 victory over Montreal on April 19th, and then on the 21st he would score two goals to give the Wild the 6-3 victory over Vancouver. Then on the 22nd he would record a career high five assists in a 6-3 victory over Seattle, and then to close out the week Fiala would record a goal and an assist in a 5-4 overtime victory over Nashville on the 24th.

Third Star – Jonathan Quick (G – LA)
- Quick would go a perfect 3-0-0 with a 1.33 goals against average and a .940 save percentage for the Los Angeles Kings as they look to keep their playoff hopes alive. To start off his week, Quick would make 29 saves in a 2-1 victory over Anaheim on April 19th, and then on the 21st Quick would make 15 saves in a 4-1 victory over Chicago. Then to close out the week Quick would make 19 saves in a 4-2 victory over Anaheim on the 23rd.
