Today the National Hockey League has announced the Rookie of the Month for the month of March 2022.
Cole Caufield (RW – MON)
- Under interim head coach Martin St. Louis Caufield has regained his touch as he led all rookies in goals (7) and points (15) in the month of March. In his 15 games played for the Montreal Canadiens Caufield would find the scoresheet in all but four games.
- Caufield would have four multi-point games, and would record eight powerplay points (3g and 5a) for the Habs in March.
- Caufield would edge out teammate Rem Pitlick along with forwards Trevor Zegras (ANA) and Michael Bunting (TOR), and goaltenders Jeremy Swayman (BOS) and Logan Thompson (VGK) for March Rookie of the Month honors.
