Game Recaps

  • St. Louis Blues v. Nashville Predators – 1230p ET
    • In Nashville the Predators would don their Stadium Series jerseys against the St. Louis Blues who would be in their Winter Classic jerseys in this Central Division battle, and in the first period Matt Duchene would strike for the Preds, but goals from David Perron, Brandon Saad, and Robert Thomas would give the Blues the 3-1 lead. In the second period Torey Krug would score for the Blues, but goals from Ryan Johansen, Filip Forsberg, and Duchene would tie the game at four for the Preds. Then in the third period Thomas and Perron would both net their second of the game and Justin Faulk would score to give the the Blues the 7-4 victory over the Predators.

  • Philadelphia Flyers v. Carolina Hurricanes – 3p ET
    • In Carolina the Hurricanes would host the Philadelphia Flyers, and after a scoreless first period Derick Brassard would strike for the Flyers, and Steven Lorentz would score for the Canes for a 1-1 tie. Then in the third period Jordan Martinook and Sebastian Aho would score to give the Hurricanes the 3-1 victory over the Flyers.

  • Detroit Red Wings v. Calgary Flames – 7p ET
    • In Calgary the Flames would host the Detroit Red Wings, and in the first period Elias Lindholm would score for the Flames to take the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second period Tyler Toffoli and Blake Coleman would score to give the Flames the 3-0 victory over the Red Wings.

  • Arizona Coyotes v. Boston Bruins – 7p ET
    • In Boston the Bruins would take on the Arizona Coyotes, and in the first period Craig Smith would net a pair of goals to give the B’s the 2-0 lead. In the second period Clayton Keller would score for the Yotes to cut their deficit to one. Then in the third period Nick Ritchie would score to tie the game at two, but Charlie Coyle would score to give the Bruins the 3-2 victory over the Coyotes.

  • Seattle Kraken v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET
    • In Montreal the Canadiens would host the Seattle Kraken, and in the first period Michael Pezzetta would score for the Habs, but goals from Yanni Gourde and Ryan Donato would give the Kraken the 2-1 lead. In the second period Jared McCann would score to grow the Kraken’s lead to two. Then in the third period Alexander Romanov and Nick Suzuki would score to tie the game at three to send the game to overtime. After a scoreless five minutes of extra hockey it would be Marcus Johansson with the shootout winner to give the Kraken the 4-3 victory over the Canadiens.
  • Chicago Blackhawks v. Ottawa Senators – 7p ET
    • In Ottawa the Senators would host the Chicago Blackhawks, and in the first period Connor Brown and Thomas Chabot would score to give the Sens the 2-0 lead. In the second period Nick Paul would score for the Sens, but a pair of goals from Jonathan Toews and tallies from Caleb Jones and Sam Lafferty would give the Blackhawks the 4-3 lead. Then in the third period Jones would net his second of the game and Dylan Strome would score to give the Blackhawks the 6-3 victory over the Senators.

  • Anaheim Ducks v. New Jersey Devils – 7p ET
    • In New Jersey the Devils would play host to the Anaheim Ducks, and in the first period Troy Terry would score to give the Ducks the 1-0 lead. In the second period Tomas Tatar would score to tie the game at two. Then after the a scoreless third period and overtime it would be Jesper Bratt with the shootout winner for the Devils to take the 2-1 victory over the Ducks.

  • New York Rangers v. Dallas Stars – 8p ET
    • In Dallas the Stars would host the New York Rangers, and in the first period Esa Lindell and Tyler Seguin would score for the Stars, but goals from Greg McKegg, Mika Zibanejad, Adam Fox, and Artemi Panarin would give the Rangers the 4-2 lead. In the second period Jason Robertson would score for the Stars, but Patrik Nemeth would score to keep the Rangers up by two. Then in the third period Joe Pavleski would score for the Stars, but goals from Barclay Goodrow and Ryan Strome would give the Rangers the 7-4 victory.

    • In San Jose the Sharks would face the Los Angeles Kings, and in the first period Timo Meier, Matt Nieto, and Jonathan Dahlin would score to give the Sharks the 3-0 lead. In the second period Tomas Hertl would score to grow the Sharks lead to four. Them in the third period Hertl would net his second of the game to give the Sharks the 5-0 victory over the Kings.

    • In Edmonton the Oilers would host the Tampa Bay Lightning, and in the first period Connor McDavid would score to give the Oilers the 1-0 lead. In the second period McDavid would net his second of the game to give the Oilers the 2-0 lead. Then in the third period Zach Bogosian would score for the Bolts, but goals from Leon Draisaitl and Kailer Yamamoto would give the Oilers the 4-1 victory over the Lightning.
