Today the National Hockey League has announced the Stars of the Month for the month of December 2021.
First Star – Auston Matthews (C – TOR)
- In the month of December Auston Matthews record 10 goals and four assists for 14 points in seven games for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Matthews would record five multi-point games, and three multi-goal games. Matthews would also record his fourth career hat trick.

Second Star – Max Pacioretty (LW – VGK)
- Pacioretty would also record 10 goals, but would record six assists for 16 points in 12 games played for the Vegas Golden Knights. Pacioretty’s ten goals would tie him for first with Matthews for the month of December. Pacioretty would also be tied for first in game winning goals (3), second in shots on goal (55), tied for second in powerplay goals (3), and third in powerplay points (7) for the month of December.

Third Star – Thatcher Demko (G – VAN)
- In December Demko would go 7-1-0 for the Vancouver Canucks. He would record a 1.72 goals against average and a .946 save percentage. Demko would also record one shutout for the month of December.
