Game Recaps
- St. Louis Blues v. Florida Panthers – 1p ET
- In Florida the Panthers would host the St. Louis Blues in an early afternoon matinee, and in the first period Logan Brown would strike for the Blues and Maxim Mamin would strike for the Panthers for the 1-1 tie. In the second period Jake Walman would score for the Blues to retake the lead, but Sam Reinhart would score to tie the game at two. Then in the third period Brandon Saad would score for the Blues, but Mamin would net his second of the game to tie the game at three and send the game to overtime. After a scoreless five minutes of extra hockey Sam Bennett would strike in the shootout to give the Panthers the 4-3 victory over the Blues.
- Montreal Canadiens v. Nashville Predators – 7p ET
- In Nashville the Predators would host the Montreal Canadiens, and in the first period Eeli Tolvanen would score to give the Preds the 1-0 lead. In the second period Nick Suzuki and Christian Dvorak would score for the Habs to take the lead, but Tanner Jeannot would score to tie the game at two. Then in the third period Brett Kulak would score for the Habs, but Luke Kunin would score to tie the game at three and send the game to overtime. In the extra frame Filip Forsberg would score to give the Predators the 4-3 victory over the Canadiens.
- Toronto Maple Leafs v. Minnesota Wild – 7p ET
- In Minnesota the Wild would take on the Toronto Maple Leafs, and in the first period Jordan Greenway would score late in the period to give the Wild the 1-0 lead. In the second period Mats Zuccarello and Marcus Foligno would score to give the Wild a three goal lead, but Jason Spezza would net a pair of goals and Auston Matthews would score to tie the game at three for the Leafs. After a scoreless third period this game would go to overtime and then to the shootout which would see Kirill Kaprizov net the winning goal to give the Wild the 4-3 victory over the Maple Leafs.
- Tampa Bay Lightning v. Boston Bruins – 7p ET
- In Boston the Bruins would take on the Tampa Bay Lightning, and in the first period Taylor Raddysh would net his first career NHL goal to give the Bolts the 1-0 lead. In the second period Ondrej Palat would score to grow the Tampa lead to two, but Charlie Coyle would score to get the Bruins on the board and back within one. Then in the third period Curtis Lazar would score to tie the game and send the game to overtime. In the extra frame Steven Stamkos would score to give the Lightning the 3-2 victory over the Bruins.
- Colorado Avalanche v. Ottawa Senators – 7p ET
- In Ottawa the Senators would host the Colorado Avalanche, and in the first period Darren Helm and Gabriel Landeskog and Brady Tkachuk and Austin Watson would score for the Avs and Sens respectively for a 2-2 tie. In the second period Alex Newhook would strike for the Avs, but a pair of goals from Tim Stutzle and a tally from Josh Norris would give the Sens the 5-3 lead. Then in the third period Tyson Jost and Devon Toews would score to tie the game at five for the Avs and send the game to overtime. In the extra frame Tkachuk would net his second of the game to give the Senators the 6-5 victory over the Avalanche.
- New York Islanders v. Detroit Red Wings – 7p ET
- In Detroit the Red Wings would host the New York Islanders, and in the first period Cal Clutterbuck would score for the Isles, but Filip Hronek and Sam Gagner would score to give the Wings the 2-1 lead. In the second period Oliver Wahlstrom would score for the Isles, but Givani Smith would score to keep the Wings in the lead. Then in the third period Wahlstrom would score to tie the game at three and send it to overtime. In the extra frame Moritz Seider would score to give the Red Wings the 4-3 victory over the Islanders.
- Columbus Blue Jackets v. Washington Capitals – 7p ET
- In Washington the Capitals would take on the Columbus Blue Jackets, and in the first period Aleksai Protas would score to give the Caps the 1-0 lead. In the second period Alex Ovechkin would record his 20th goal of the season to give the Caps the two goal lead. Then in the third period Eric Robinson would score for the Jackets, but Garnet Hathaway would score to give the Capitals the 3-1 victory.
- Buffalo Sabres v. Carolina Hurricanes – 730p ET
- In Carolina the Hurricanes would take on the Buffalo Sabres, and in the first period Henri Jokiharju would score for the Sabres, but goals from Teuvo Teravainen and Martin Necas would give the Canes the 2-1 lead. In the second period Zemgus Girgensons would strike for Buffalo, but goals from Ian Cole, Vincent Trocheck, and Nino Niederreiter would give the Canes the 5-2 lead. Then in the third period Teravainen would net his second of the game to give the Hurricanes the 6-2 victory over the Sabres.
- Chicago Blackhawks v. New York Rangers – 8p ET
- At Madison Square Garden the New York Rangers would battle their Original Six rival Chicago Blackhawks, and in the first period Patrick Kane would score to give the Blackhawks the 1-0 lead. In the second period Ryan Strome and Adam Fox would score for the Rangers to take the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period Alex DeBrincat would score for Chicago, but Artemi Panarin would score to give the Rangers the 3-2 victory over the Blackhawks.
- Pittsburgh Penguins v. Vancouver Canucks – 10p ET
- In Vancouver the Canucks would host the Pittsburgh Penguins, and after a scoreless first period Jake Guentzel would open the scoring for the Pens, but Vasily Podkolzin would strike to tie the game at one for the Canucks. However later in the period Guentzel would net two more goals to complete the hat trick to give the Pens the 3-1 lead. Then in the third period Sidney Crosby would score to give the Penguins the 4-1 victory over the Canucks.
