  • The Chicago Blackhawks owner Rocky Wirtz sent a letter to the Hockey Hall of Fame requesting to have Brad Alderich’s name removed for the 2010 Stanley Cup team. 

  • After meeting with Winnipeg Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman ruled that no discipline will be inposed upon Cheveldayoff.

  • The Toronto Maple Leafs announced that they have resigned defenseman Morgan Rielly.
    • The extension is for 8 years and $60 million.
    • The contract will carry an AAV of $7.5 million per season.

  • The Florida Panthers announced that Andrew Brunette will be taking over as interim Head Coach.

  • Florida Panthers v. Detroit Red Wings – 7p ET
    • In the Motor City, the Florida Panthers look to get the win over the Detroit Red Wings. In the first period, Florida gets on the board first when Eetu Luostarinen scores his second goal of the season. The Panthers make it a 2-0 lead when Aleksander Barkov scores his third goal of the year. In the second period, Sam Gagner scores his second of the season to cut the Panthers lead to one. In the third, Pius Suter scores his first of the year to tie the game for the Red Wings. In the overtime session, Barkov scores his second goal, the game winner, as the Florida Panthers defeat the Detroit Red Wings 3-2.

  • Columbus Blue Jackets v. New York Rangers – 7p ET
    • In New York City, the Rangers look to get the win at home over the Columbus Blue Jackets. In the first period, Ryan Strome scores his first of the year as the Rangers take the 1-0 lead and Alexis Lafreniere scores his third to give New York the 2-0 lead. After a scoreless second period, Chris Kreider scores two goals in the third period, his fifth and sixth goals of the season, as the Rangers get the 4-0 shutout win over the Blue Jackets.

  • Arizona Coyotes v. Washington Capitals – 7p ET
    • In the Nation’s Capital, the Arizona Coyotes will look to get their first win of the 2021-22 season over the Capitals. After a scoreless first and second period, the Capitals get on the board when John Carlson scores a power play goal, his second goal of the year, to give Washington the 1-0 lead. The Capitals go on to get the eventual 2-0 win after Alex Ovechkin’s ninth goal of the season with 21 seconds left on the clock.

  • Chicago Blackhawks v. Carolina Hurricanes – 7p ET
    • In Raleigh, the Carolina Hurricanes look to get the win over a free-falling Blackhawks team. In the first period, Chicago gets on the board when Brandon Hagel scores his first of the season but Carolina ties the contest when Tony DeAngelo gets his second of the year. Chicago re-takes the lead with Adam Gaudette’s first goal of the year, a power play goal. Carolina responds with Jordan Staal’s second of the year and Carolina takes their first lead of the night when Derek Stepan nets his first of the year. Carolina takes the two goal advantage with Jesperi Kotkaniemi’s second goal of the season. In the second, Carolina takes the 5-2 lead when Sebastian Aho scores his fifth of the year and Andrei Svechnikov makes it a 6-2 Hurricanes lead with his seventh of the year. In the third, Alex DeBrincat scores his foutrth goal to bring Chicago within three but the comeback falls short as the Hurricanes double up the Blackhawks with the 6-3 win.

  • Anaheim Ducks v. Vegas Golden Knights – 8p ET
    • In The Fortress, with the Golden Knights wearing their road whites at home for the first time this season, Vegas looks to defeat the Ducks. In the first period, Reilly Smith gets the Golden Knights on the board with his second of the season. In the second period, Nicolas Hague scores his second of the year to give Vegas the 2-0 lead. Anaheim cuts the lead in half after Trevor Zegras scores his second of the season. In the third period, Chandler Stephenson scores his fourth to bring the Vegas lead to two and William Carrier scores his first of the year to make it a 4-1 Vegas lead. Then Anaheim scores three unanswered goals when Troy Terry, scoring his fourth of the year, Isac Lundestrom, scoring his first of the year, and Adam Henrique, scoring his third, to make it a 4-4 game. After a scoreless overtime session, Vegas gets the 5-4 win in the shootout when Evgenii Dadonov gets the winner.

  • Ottawa Senators v. Dallas Stars – 830p ET
    • In Dallas, the Ottawa Senators look to end their three game losing streak. In the first, Josh Norris scores a power play goal, his fourth goal of the year to give the Sens the 1-0 lead and Ottawa makes it a 2-0 lead with Brady Tkachuk’s first of the year. In the second, Norris scores his second of the night to make it a 3-0 Ottawa lead. Dallas gets on the board with Joe Pavelski’s power play goal, his second goal of the year. In the third, Ottawa seals the win after Connor Brown scores his first of the season to give the Senators the 4-1 win over the Dallas Stars.
