- In the Fortress, the Avalanche face a do-or-die situation. In the first period, Colorado gets on the board 23 seconds into the period with Devon Toews first goal of the postseason. Vegas responds with two goals when Nick Holden gets his first goal of the postseason and William Karlsson gets his fourth. In the second period, Mikko Rantanen gets a power play goal, his fifth goal of the postseason to make it a 2-2 game. Vegas responds when Keegan Kolesar nets his first goal of the postseason to retake the lead. Colorado ties the game again when Andre Burakovsky gets his first goal of the postseason. Vegas retakes the lead when Alex Pietrangelo gets his first goal of the postseason. In the third, Vegas gets a pair of goals when William Carrier gets his first goal of the postseason and Max Pacioretty gets his fourth goal of the playoffs as the Golden Knights double up the Avalanche with the 6-3 win and eliminate Colorado to advance to the Stanley Cup Semifinals to face off against Montreal.
