Game Recaps

  • Toronto Maple Leafs v. Montreal Canadiens – Game 5 – 7p ET
    • With the Toronto Maple Leafs back home, they look to eliminate the Montreal Canadiens, but in the first period Joel Armia would score two goals in the opening 8:18 to give the Habs the 2-0 lead. Then in the second period Jesperi Kotkaniemi would score to grow the Habs lead to three, but Zach Hyman would strike for the Leafs to get on the board. In the third period Jake Muzzin would score a pair of goals to tie the game at three to send the game to overtime. Then early in overtime Nick Suzuki would score to give the Canadiens the 4-3 victory to force a game six on Saturday.

  • Nashville Predators v. Carolina Hurricanes – Game 6 – 930p ET
    • In Nashville the Carolina Hurricanes look to wrap up the series against the Predators, but in the opening minutes it would be Nick Cousins of the Preds to open the scoring to take the 1-0 lead, however, Brock McGinn would strike minutes later to tie the game at one. In the second period Mikael Granlund and Ryan Johansen would score for the Preds to take the two goal lead, but Sebastian Aho would strike to bring the Canes back within one. In the third period Dougie Hamilton to tie the game at three and send the game to overtime. 66 seconds into overtime Aho would net his second of the game to give the Hurricanes the 4-3 victory to take the 4-2 series victory over the Predators.
