It all comes down to this for the Panthers. Win or go home. It’ll be a very tough task to hold off the Lightning, but to do it they must play better defensively and get better goaltending. Unfortunately for the Panthers, the Lightning started off the scoring with Ross Colton scoring the first goal:

Tampa took this 1-0 lead into the second.
Florida got this goal back with 13:41 left in the second off a goal by Mackenzie Weegar:

Mason Marchment added a go-ahead goal for Florida to give them a 2-1 lead:

Then in the third period Patric Honqvist would strike while on the powerplay, and Frank Vatrano would score with the empty netter to give the Panthers the 4-1 victory and force a game six in Tampa Bay.
