- The Columbus Blue Jackets announced that defenseman Zach Werenski has been placed on Injured Reserve, and will miss the remainder of the 2020-21 season.
- Werenski suffered a inguinal/sports hernia.
- The Toronto Maple Leafs and Columbus Blue Jackets made a trade.
- The Leafs acquired forward Riley Nash.
- Nash has been placed on Long Term Injured Reserve due to a lower body injury.
- The Jackets acquired a Conditional 7th Round Pick
- The 7th Round Pick will turn into a 6th Round Pick if Nash plays in 25% of the Leafs’ Playoff games in 2021.
- The Leafs acquired forward Riley Nash.
- The Colorado Avalanche and Detroit Red Wings would make a trade.
- The Avs would acquire defenseman Patrik Nemeth.
- The Wings will retain 50% of Nemeth’s salary.

- Washington Capitals v. Buffalo Sabres – 7p ET
- The Washington Capitals would head to Buffalo to take on the Sabres. In the first period Brenden Dillon and Alex Ovechkin would strike for the Caps, but a tally from Henri Jokiharju would give the Sabres some life. In the second period Justin Schultz would strike to give the Caps their two goal lead back, but a tally from Casey Mittelstadt would bring the Sabres back within one. In the third period Jakub Vrana would score to give the Capitals the two goal lead. Tage Thompson would score for the Sabres, but the Caps would hold on for the 4-3 victory.
- Pittsburgh Penguins v. New Jersey Devils – 7p ET
- In New Jersey the Devils would host the Pittsburgh Penguins, and in the first period Miles Wood would open the scoring for the Devils, but goals from Jared McCann and Brian Dumoulin would score to give the Pens the 2-1 lead. Then in the second period Jack Hughes would strike to tie the game at two, but Colton Sceviour would score to give the Pens the one goal lead. In the third period Jesper Boqvist and Wood would strike for the Devils, but a pair of goals from Bryan Rust, and a tally from Sidney Crosby would give the Penguins the 6-4 victory.
- New York Rangers v. New York Islanders – 7p ET
- In the Battle of New York, the Islanders would play host to the Rangers on Long Island. After a scoreless first period Alexis Lafreniere would strike to give the Rangers the 1-0 lead. Jordan Eberle would score for the Isles, but Colin Blackwell’s 12th of the season would give the Rangers the 2-1 lead. In the third period K’Andre Miller and Mika Zibanejad would strike to give the Rangers the 4-1 victory over the Islanders.
- Minnesota Wild v. St. Louis Blues – 8p ET
- In St. Louis the Blues would take on the Minnesota Wild, and while Zach Parise would score for the Wild, goals from Zach Sanford and Sammy Blais, plus a pair from Jaden Schwartz would give the Blues the 4-1 lead. In the second period the Blues would keep it coming as Ryan O’Reilly would net a pair of goals and Justin Faulk would score to give the Blues the 7-1 lead. In the third O’Reilly completes the hat trick and Ivan Barbashev score as the Blues breeze by the Wild to get the 9-1 win.
- Arizona Coyotes v. Vegas Golden Knights – 10p ET
- In Vegas, the Coyotes face off against the Golden Knights and in the first, Vegas gets four goals when Jonathan Marchessault, William Carrier, Keegan Kolesar, and Reilly Smith all score to give the Golden Knights the 4-0 lead. In the second, Chandler Stephenson nets his eighth to give Vegas the 5-0 lead. Arizona finally strikes when Nick Schmaltz nets his 10th goal with 53 seconds left in the period. In the third, Dryden Hunt and Clayton Keller score to bring Arizona within two. Reilly Smity nets his second goal of the game to make it a 6-3 Vegas lead and Michael Bunting scores his fifth goal to bring Arizona within two again. With less than a minute on the clock, Max Pacioretty nets his 19th goal to give Vegas the 7-4 lead and win over the Coyotes.
- Colorado Avalanche v. Anaheim Ducks – 10p ET
- In Anaheim, after a scoreless first period, Colorado gets on the board when Valeri Nichushkin nets his ninth goal to give the Avs the 1-0 lead. With 34 seconds left in the contest, Mikko Rantanen nets his 23rd goal to give the Avs the 2-0 lead and win over the Ducks.
- Los Angeles Kings v. San Jose Sharks – 10:30p ET
- In San Jose, the Sharks look to take a bite out of then Kings. In the first, Los Angeles takes the 1-0 lead when Alex Iafallo nets his 10th of the season. San Jose then gets three goals when Kevin Labanc, Patrick Marleau, and Rudolfs Balcers score to make it a 3-1 Sharks lead. As the contest shifts to the third, Los Angeles comes within a goal when Jaret Anderson-Dolan comes within a goal when he scores his seventh goal on the season. San Jose gets the final two goals in the contest with Dylan Gambrel and Tomas Hertl scoring as the Sharks gets the 5-2 win over the Kings.
