The Blues played three games this week and kind of took it on the chin, losing 2 in overtime, and 1 in regulation – none of the games being particularly well played.
In the first game against the San Jose Sharks, despite a 2 point night from Ryan O’Reilly, and holding a 2-1 lead in the third period, the Blues could not close the game out and ended up losing 3-2 in overtime.
The next game was more of the same, this time against Vegas. The Blues fell down 2-0 quickly, but were able to claw back and take a 4-3 lead with 10 minutes left in the third. They couldn’t hold that lead either, and ended up losing 5-4 in overtime.
The last game, against Vegas again, was just a blowout – with the Blues losing 5-1. The one high point of the week is that Vladmir Tarasenko had a full slate of games and notched 4 points in 3 games, including his first goal back.Â
