Today the National Hockey League announced their Rookie of the Month for the month of February 2021.
Tim Stutzle (LW – OTT) & Michele Tache (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario)
- Tache, who recently retired, worked as child like specialist at Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario for more than 36 years. Tache helped infants, children, youth and families cope with the stress and uncertainty that came with acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, trauma, disability, loss, and bereavement. A role that has taken on more importance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Stutzle would lead all rookies with seven assists and ten points for the month of February. In the 14 games played for the Senators, Stutzle would edge Minnesota teammates Kirill Kaprizov and Kaapo Kahkonen, and Chicago teammates Kevin Lankinen and Pius Suter for the top rookie honors.
- The Viersen, Germany native would record two multi-point games, and get a decisive shootout winner as well.
