NWHL Daily – 6 to Nothing

NWHL News and Notes from Sunday, January 31st, 2021

  • Boston Pride v. Buffalo Beauts – 3p ET
    • In the second game of their best of three series, the Boston Pride would outright dominate the Buffalo Beauts on the scoresheet as Mallory Souliotis would net a pair, including the game winner, plus goals from McKenna Brand, Sammy Davis, Lauren Kelly, and Meghara McManus would give the Pride the 6-0 victory to even the series at one a piece.

  • Toronto Six v. Connecticut Whale – 6p ET
    • In what felt like a repeat of the early Buffalo/Boston game, the Toronto Six and Connecticut Whale would start off with a scoreless first period followed by six unanswered goals in the final forty minutes of action. In the second period Sarah-Eve Coutu Godbout and Taylor Woods would both score to give the Six the 2-0 lead. Then in the third period it would be a pair of goals from Mackenzie MacNeil and goals from Taytum Clairmont and Mikyla Grant-Mentis to give the Six the 6-0 victory over the Whale and the first seed overall in the playoffs.
