#3 Toronto Six v. #1 Minnesota Whitecaps
Game Recap:
Starting the Round Robin to decide where the top three teams will seed for the playoffs, the Minnesota Whitecaps take on the Toronto Six. In the first period the Whitecaps would get themselves into penalty trouble early on with a bench minor for Too Many Players on the ice, and Mikyla Grant-Mentis would net her third of the season while on the powerplay to give the Six the 1-0 lead. Shortly after the Six would get another powerplay opportunity, but this time around the Whitecaps would shut them down. At the end of the first period the Six would out shoot the Whitecaps 15 to 7 as they held their 1-0 lead.
In the second period the Whitecaps would force the Six into penalty trouble less than 30 seconds into the period to give themselves the early powerplay, and with that opportunity Nina Rodgers would net her first of the season to tie the game at one for the Whitecaps. Then after taking the earlier penalty that would result in the tying goal, Taylor Woods would redeem herself by scoring for the Six to retake the one goal lead, but with 30 seconds left in the period Brooke White-Lancette would score her first of the season to tie the game at two. The Six would lead the period in shots once again out shooting the Whitecaps 16 to 9 in the period.
Finally in the third period we would see both teams trade tallies again as Sarah-Eve Coutu Godbout would score her first career NWHL goal to give the Six the lead, but it would be Rodgers second of the game to tie the game up at three for the Whitecaps. However, with 24 seconds left in the game Grant-Mentis would net her second of the game to give the Six the 4-3 victory, and the first win of the Round Robin. This would also serve as the first loss of the season for the Whitecaps who were a perfect 3-0 in the Regular Season.
