Palat Winner Ties Up Series

Game 2 of the series between the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning took place.

A quick recap of how Game 1 went down:

Game 1 – Bruins win 3-2

Here is how the 2 teams would line up:

In the first period, the Bruins jumped out to the early lead, setting the tempo of the game. The goal came 3 minutes into the game and was scored by Nick Ritchie, his first of the playoffs. Assist on the play came from Anders Bjork.

9 minutes later, the Lightning would tie the game up. The goal coming from Blake Coleman, his second of the playoffs. Assists on the play came from Zack Bogosian and Barclay Goodrow. The period would end with the Bruins and Lightning tied at 1.

In the second period, it would take a little longer, but the Bruins would once again jump out to the lead. The goal coming from Brad Marchand, his fifth of the playoffs. Assists on the play came from David Pastrnak and Torrey Krug.

However, the Lightning would answer right away and tie the game up. The goal coming from Nikita Kucherov, his third of the playoffs. Assists on the play came from Kevin Shattenkirk and Brayden Point. The period would end with both teams tied at 2.

In the third period, it would be the Lightning who would get the lead, their first of the game. The goal coming from Blake Coleman once again. It would be his third of the playoffs and second point of the game. Assists on the play came from Victor Hedman.

Trailing for the first time in the series, the Bruins would respond by tying up the game 6 minutes later. The goal coming from Brad Marchand, his sixth goal of the playoffs and second point of the game. Assists on the play came from Sean Kuraly and David Pastrnak, his second point of the game as well. The period would once again end tied and both teams would head to overtime.

In the overtime, it would be the Lightning who would strike the winner and tie up the series. The goal coming from Ondrej Palat. Assists on the play came from Yanni Gourde and Patrick Maroon.

The next game between these 2 teams will be tomorrow at 8p.
