First Period:
Facing elimination, this game did not start well for Montreal with Ivan Provorov scoring just 28 seconds in to the game.
Things didn’t get much better when just a few minutes later Kevin Hayes made it 2-0 Flyers.
Montreal didn’t do themselves any favors by taking three penalties in the period, but did manage to get one back on a power play of their own when Nick Suzuki pulled them within one.
Second Period:
Michael Raffi extended the Flyers lead to 3-1 with an early second period goal.
Nick Suzuki, with the help of Jonathan Drouin, did the best he could to keep the Habs in the game, scoring again less than two minutes later.
Third Period:
While the Canadiens gave it their all – doing far better than most anyone thought – the third period was the end of the road for them. Managing a lead, the Flyers shut the door, with neither team scoring.
Flyers win the series 4-2
