Game 4 of the series between the Arizona Coyotes and the Nashville Predators took place. Game 1 of the series went in favor of the Coyotes by a score of 4-3. Game 2 was a bounce back game for the Predators, as the final score was 4-2. Game 3 went in favor of Arizona by a final score of 4-1.
Lineups
It would take a late goal in the first period, but it would get the Coyotes on the board. The goal coming from Michael Grabner, which was assisted by Oliver Ekman-Larsson. It would give Arizona the lead at the end of the first.
Early in the second period, the Coyotes doubled their lead, with a goal coming from Phil Kessel. The play was unassisted.
Three minutes later, the Predators would cut into the lead. The goal coming from Matt Duchene, assists on the play coming from Roman Josi and Ryan Johansen. Four minutes later, the Predators would tie up the game. The goal coming from Viktor Arvidsson, assists on the play coming from Ryan Ellis and Filip Forsberg.
The second period would end with both teams tied 2-2 heading into the third period.
Early in the third period, the Coyotes would re-gain the lead, the goal coming from Jordan Oesterle, assists on the play came from Oliver Ekman-Larsson, his second point of the game, and Clayton Keller.
Seconds before the game ended, Filip Forsberg would tie it up to save the Predators season. Assists on the play came from Ryan Ellis, his second point of the game, and Mikeal Granlund.
In overtime, Brad Richardson would find himself in front of the net and would stuff home a rebound to have the Coyotes move on. Assists on the play came from Vinnie Hinostroza and Jason Demers.
