Today in the NWHL The Minnesota Whitecaps re-signed a Defender of the Year finalist, and some sad news regarding the 2020 Isobel Cup Championship game.
Boulier Returns to Caps
- The Minnesota Whitecaps have announced the re-signing of top defender Amanda Boulier for the 2020-21 season.
- Boulier, a 2020 NWHL Defender of the Year Finalist, recorded six goals and 21 assists for 27 points during the 2019-20 season.
- Boulier is also a three time NWHL All Star, a 2019 Isobel Cup Champion, and was named on of the Fan’s Three Stars for the 2019-20 season.
- Boulier will be entering her fourth NWHL season, and third with Minnesota.
2020 Isobel Cup Final Canceled
- Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the NWHL announced today that the 2020 Isobel Cup Championship game between the Boston Pride and Minnesota Whitecaps has officially been canceled.
- Originally slated for Friday, March 13th, 2020 in Boston, the league along with the NWHLPA, players, coaches, and leadership of both the Pride and Whitecaps made the difficult decsion to cancel the game.
