The Washington Capitals fall flat on the powerplay as the Philadelphia Flyers come within one point of the Capitals in the Metro Division.
Columbus Blue Jackets v. Calgary Flames – 830p EST Start Time
In Calgary the Columbus Blue Jackets look to keep their playoff hopes alive against the Flames. In the first period Devin Shore and Gustav Nyquist would get the Jackets off to the 2-0 lead, but then in the third period Elias Lindholm and Matthew Tkachuk would score to tie the game at two and send the game to overtime. Then in the extra frame with 11 seconds left, TJ Brodie would complete the comeback for the Flames as they would go on to win 3-2.
Anaheim Ducks v. Colorado Avalanche – 930p EST Start Time
In Colorado the Avalanche would host the Anaheim Ducks, and in the first period it would be a back and forth period as Andrew Agozzino and Brendan Guhle would score for the Ducks, while Vladislav Namestnikov and Gabriel Landeskog would score for the Avalanche. Then in the second period Sam Steel would strike to take the lead for the Ducks. In the third period Nathan MacKinnon would tie the game at three for the Avalanche, but in overtime it would be Rickard Rakell with the winner for the Ducks as they would go on to win 4-3.
Arizona Coyotes v. Vancouver Canucks – 1030p EST Start Time
In Vancouver the Canucks would play host to the Arizona Coyotes, and in the first period Carl Soderberg would score to give the Coyotes the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second period the Canucks would get goals from Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson, but goals from Nick Schmaltz, Lawson Crouse, and Oliver Ekman-Larsson to give the Coyotes the 4-2 victory.
