TXHT Jersey Share – Cool Hockey Mystery Box Series Part 4

The TXHT Jersey Share series concludes with part four of the Cool Hockey Mystery Box series.

In today’s edition of the jerseys received from the Mystery Boxes purchased from CoolHockey.com, we take a look at the Pittsburgh Penguins by Reebok for the 2016-17 season.

Penguins Cullen Front

The Penguins would change their jerseys back to their look from the 1980’s and early 1990’s. This retro design is what the Penguins wore when they won their first two Stanley Cups in 1991 and 1992 before changing their jerseys and logo. In 2014 the Penguins would introduce the black version as an alternate, and then would make them official with their white version starting the 2016-17 season, which would see them win their fifth and final Stanley Cup. The Penguins would carry the design over to the new Adidas format, and still wear them today.

Penguins Cullen Back

One of the cool surprises for this jersey is that it was a player customized jersey, and it is customized to Matt Cullen. Cullen was more of a depth player and was a key contributor to the Penguins back to back Cup runs in 2016 and 2107.

This jersey is special though compared to the others that were received in the Mystery Boxes as this jersey is a size large and I can actually wear it regularly if I chose to.
