2020 NHL All-Star Game Recap

Tonight the 2020 NHL All-Star Game took place from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.  Once again, the All-Star Game had its 3-on-3 tournament format that was introduced beginning with the 2016 edition.

The games tonight will consist of 20 minute games with both teams switching ends at the 10 minute mark.

 

The first game of the night took place between the Metropolitan Division and the Atlantic Division.

Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak would go on to be named the 2020 NHL All-Star Game Most Valuable Player with a performance.

 

For winning the final, the Pacific Division would also go on to win the $1 million prize.

 

Also, this would be the Pacific Division’s third win (2016 and 2018) since the All-Star Game moved to the divisional 3-on-3 tournament.

 

 

 

Recaps:

The Atlantic Division downed the Metropolitan Division by the score of 9-5, thanks to three goals from Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak and Ottawa Senators forward Anthony Duclair.

 

The Pacific Division would double up the Central Division by the score of 10-5, thanks to a four-goal performance by San Jose Sharks forward Tomas Hertl.

 

The Pacific Division would go on to win the tournament with the 5-4 win over the Atlantic thanks to a two goal performance by Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson as well as goals by Max Pacioretty, Leon Draisaitl and Tomas Hertl.

 

 

The NHL Regular Season will resume with action Monday evening.

The 2021 NHL All-Star Game will be hosted by the Florida Panthers at the BB&T Center on Saturday, January 30.
