Slovakia v. Kazakhstan
In the first game of the second day of the tournament Kazakhstan would get right back to it as they would take on Slovakia. After a scoreless first period Oliver Okuliar would break the scoreless tie with his first of the tournament to give the Slovaks the 1-0 lead, but a little less than five minutes later Maxim Musorov would net his third of the tournament to tie the game at one. Then in the third period when it was looking like it was going to go to overtime Daniel Vladimir Tkac would break the tie for the Slovaks, and with seven seconds left in the game Robert Dzugan would hit the empty netter to secure the 3-1 victory for Slovakia.
Germany v. United States
In the second game of the day the United States looks to rebound from their loss the day before as they take on Germany. In the first period John Peterka would strike first for the Germans to take the 1-0 lead, but the US would strike with goals from Jordan Harris and Zac Jones to take the 2-1 lead. Then in the second period Peterka would net his second of the game to tie the game at two and Dominik Bokk would retake the lead for the Germans, but the Americans would not stay down as Shane Pinto and Curtis Hall would both score for the US to take the 4-2 lead. Then in the third period Bobby Brink and Oliver Wahlstrom would both score to secure the 6-3 victory for the Americans over Germany.
