Today the National Hockey League announced their Three Stars of the Week for the week of October 2nd through 6th.
First Star – Brad Marchand (LW, Boston Bruins)
- Marchand would record three goals and four assists for seven points, and would also be a +6 in three games for the Bruins. On Nov. 19th against New Jersey Marchand would record his third three assist performance of the season. Then on Nov. 21st he would record two goals against Buffalo, and to finish the week Marchand would record a goal and an assist against Minnesota on Nov. 23rd.
Second Star – Connor McDavid (C, Edmonton Oilers)
- McDavid would tally four goals and three assists for points in four games for the Oilers as they took first place in the Western Conference. He would start the week with a goal and two assists against San Jose on Nov. 19th. Then on Nov. 21st against Los Angeles, McDavid would score a goal. Then against Vegas on Nov. 23rd he would score twice. Then to finish off the week on Nov. 24th against Arizona, McDavid would record an assist and the game winning shootout goal.
Third Star – Brock Nelson (C, New York Islanders)
- Nelson would compile four goals and an assist for five points in three games played for the Islanders. On Nov. 19th against Pittsburgh Nelson would record two goals and an assist. Then would score two more goals against Pittsburgh on Nov. 21st, and to close out the week Nelson would be held off the scoresheet by San Jose on Nov. 23rd.
