Toronto Six Unveils Jerseys

Today, after much teasing, the Toronto Six unveiled their inaugural uniforms for the 2020-21 NWHL season.

First off we want to start with the fact that the Six unveiled three new jerseys as they will have a home (red), away (black), and alternate (white). This confirms a report by The Ice Garden where they reported that the NWHL teams were going to have home and road uniforms, and possibly alternates as well.

Now onto the jerseys themselves. First we have the home jersey.

PastedGraphic-2

The home jersey has a red base with gold trim on the collar, and black sleeves from the elbows down. On the elbows of the sleeves we see black, white, and gold stripes. On the shoulders we see the Canadian flag on the left shoulder, and the 6IX branding on the right shoulder. The numbers on the sleeves and on the back will be black with gold trim.

Next up we have the away jersey.

PastedGraphic-3

For the away jerseys the Six has a black base with gold trim on the collar, and gold sleeves past the elbows. On the elbows you have gold, white, and black stripes. Just like with the home jersey, you have the Canadian flag on the left shoulder, and the 6IX branding on the right shoulder. Numbers on the sleeves and on the back will be red with gold trim.

And finally we have the alternate jersey for the Six.

Now this is very different and unique, and I really like it. The look is very different from what we’re used to seeing for an alternate, and having a white base with the gray shoulders is a good tone setter. Then having an all over pattern featuring the Toronto Six maple leaf and the city name across the uniform gives it a special feel to it. The sleeves feature six gold stripes, and on the shoulders you have the Canadian flag on the left shoulder and the 6IX branding on the right shoulder. The numbers on the sleeves and on the back will be red with gold trim. The collor of the jersey is gold with a red trim.

Overall thoughts on the jerseys is that while the home and away jerseys look really good, and use the Calgary Flames template, they are solid jerseys. However, the alternates are where it’s at with their unique design, and originality.
