- The PWHL announced all 12 home openers for the 2026-27 season.
- The regular season will begin on Saturday, December 5th with two games.
- At 3p ET the Vancouver Goldeneyes will host the Seattle Torrent while on the PWHL’s debut on Hockey Night in Canada, the Montreal Victoire will raise their Walter Cup banner before facing the expansion PWHL Hamilton at 7p ET.
- The Winnipeg Jets claimed goaltender Clay Stevenson off of waivers from the Washington Capitals.
- The Toronto Maple Leafs and Columbus Blue Jackets made a blockbuster trade.
- The Maple Leafs acquired forwards Kirill Marchenko and Miles Wood, and goaltender Elvis Merzlikins.
- The Blue Jackets acquired forwards Matthew Knies and Steven Lorentz, defenseman Emil Andrae, and a conditional 2027 2nd Round Pick.
